Spicy jumbo shrimp (peel and eat) was great! Definitely not an eat in spot. Be sure to grab and go. Fries are not that good. I've also had the fried catfish which was pretty good. Camerons is definitely better than your normal fast food alternatives such as KFC or McDs. If you don't feel like cooking and want something different from the normal fast food joints that is affordable then this is the place for you!

Great food! I had the crab cake platter and my boyfriend had the catfish dinner. The food was seasoned and cooked well. I was nervous becuase it was close to closing and I didnt want the leftovers. Definitely cooked fresh.

On my way to win every round of spades and disappoint my trash taking opponents, I was hit with a FB message: BYOF. SMH. No wings, chips or nothing chile. Not even leftovers (yes Im known to rummage your refrigerator and deep freezer). So in the middle of, "Is a hurricane coming?" and my "Make sure you play to win" pep talk to my partner, she suggested that we go to Cameron's to pick up dinner. When I walk inside Cameron's, I immediately see 3-4 different menu screens and about 3 people ahead of us. My friend knows what she wants, I on the other hand, have never been to this establishment and need time to think about my options. My first choice, oysters, fried. I ask the guy behind the counter does the meal come with a whole jar or are they halved (Im not new to this, Im true to this). He says, "Half a jar," and thats when I become uninterested. For $10, I can by a jar at the grocery store and fry them up myself, I digress. I opted for the whiting sammy, which was huge, but not as big as Horace and Dickie's, with a double side of fries (in my mind, the basic stuff has to be good before I order more deliberately cooked entrees). My friend ordered the tilapia sammy with fries and a side of steamed shrimp. The fish was seasoned lightly. I would have liked it seasoned a bit heavier, it is FRIED fish (I just made a stank face). I think they may have washed the fish in an egg wash before dipping it in a cornmeal and flour mixture. The cornmeal to flour ratio was perfect, but because it didn't have enough seasoning, I had to to compensate with condiments. The fries were over cooked and under seasoned. For future reference, Cameron's, I like fresh, thick sliced potatoes and seasoning salt sprinkled on after they're fried. Thanks. I enjoyed the sammy though...until I almost choked off a pack of bones that were forgotten in the filleting process, I almost died. Do better Cameron's. For now, Cameron's receives a 3.0. Ill be back though, next time to try the lobster bisque and something steamed.

Great seafood, prices aren't bad either, fish, shrimp, crab cakes, all good, crab soup not so much, will try the crabs next time and see how they are, place is always busy so it's gotta be good.

So, place has a mixture of folks here...you never know what you will see. I have tried the fried and broiled platters. They ok, missing the seasoning rack in the back. Going to stick to crab legs

**Let me start you off with a little appetizer before I go right into it so you can decide if this review is worth your time. First, I come here primarily for lunch. Cameron's is hardly ever my dinner--just a quick little lunch. Second, I order the SAME THING every time I go there. A CATFISH SANDWICH! Now that that's done, here's your salad! I am a fan of the Cameron's franchise, in general. It is quick and easy seafood, without the frills, thrills, and price tags of seafood at fancy restaurants. This is NOT the place you come for ambiance but it beats the hell out of McDonalds, Wendys, or Checkers. It gets 5 stars for serving its fast food purpose and serving it well. Okay. Now finally on to the Entree. Why 5 stars? (1) Out of all the Cameron's, this is one of the few (or the ONLY) with actual in restaurant seating (2) The Halfs and Halfs are bomb each time (3) The hushpuppies (4) The portion sizes. My catfish sandwiches usually come with like 3 pieces of catfish on them. It's almost a better deal than ordering a platter. (5) The quick service never fails. They get me in and they get me out so I can sink my mouth into a big juicy pile of delectable catfish. YUM! (6) Oh, and not to mention the catfish is fried PERFECTLY, every time (7) Over all bang for my buck! So if you're in the mood for a catfish sandwich done right, get to your local Cameron's.

Just updating as I'm in search for the best Crab Cake in the area. They have a $10 crab cake in view ready to cook. So you get to pick your crab cake before they cook it. Of course they say they are all the same size but I dont agree. But the size is pretty big. They mix the back fin in with the lump...The taste is kind of bland and very low on filler. I like that they dont use alot of salt. Crab Cakes shouldnt be over run with Salt. For the money and option of having it Broiled ( myfav) and Fried (very tasty) you really will be hard pressed to find a better deal on a tasty crab cake. But it is lacking flavor for sure. Mid Grade crab cake.

Not a bad place to buy some seafood on a night when you are too lazy to cook, too antsy to sit down somewhere, and just the thought of typical fast food weighs you down. The broiled crab cake was not bad at all. It was well seasoned and there wasn't a terrible amount of filler. The pieces do not seem hand picked. It was nowhere near as chunky as I'm used to from other seafood spots. The hush-puppies were also seasoned well and better than, say, Captain D's but something was missing. That's too bad because I've been craving some well made hush-puppies and this would have quelled the voices coming from my stomach asking for golden delicious balls of fried cornbread. The vegetables are steamed and all of those vitamins and minerals just have to cancel out the negative nutritional value of the hush-puppies. Right? This Cameron's hovers somewhere around 2.75 stars. They do things like let you sub out any part of the side dishes in the platter with no hassle, are really quick, and have good customer service but the food lacks something. It just seems like things could be a little fresher. It feels more like your local carryout than an authentic seafood joint.

I love Cameron seafood they have the best boiled ultimate seafood platter ever and you can request no butter on your vegetables and extra vegetables instead of the rice My one concern is that the broil platter is three dollars more than the fry platter which kind of disturbs me because you have to pay extra just to eat healthy? The food was delicious but I doubt that I will ever come here again not that I am cheap or anything but it just disturbs me how places will try to take advantage of certain situations My order was 43 for 2 ultimate seafood platters and I'm sure I can get a better deal closer to my home

I came here since I was in the mood for Blue Crabs. I ordered 1/2 dozen females and they assumed I wanted them steamed, which I guess most people get. After a quick dash of Old Bay on the top of the order I paid and went home. I opened up the brown paper bag to find lots of legs and claws and six of the smallest blue crabs I have seen. I'm not been picky but I really think they were extra small, which I would think that they would've added a couple to make up for the small size. It would've been even better to maybe even mix the sizes up or given a discount on the price. Walking it it says a dozen females are $25 trust and believe I was charged $12.50. I might try them again when the season up here starts to see if there is a difference but I can only anticipate that the prices are going to be sky high.

I have only bought crabs here. Lately they have started reducing the amount extra they put in ya bag. If you're like me and use to getting heavy crabs (not) and getting several extra since the price is already higher than most crab houses in the area. You might want to drive a little further to your normal spot. Qouting the only African worker in the spot "you should feel lucky if you got one extra." ha ha ha, he laugh's with satisfaction.
